We got the idea for these cookies in a strange way. We were doing a trade show for the local Chamber of Commerce in Fort Myers, FL. Besides the normal pens and other things we were giving away we decided to give away flavored fortune cookies with the fortune: Don't waste a fortune, call You should have seen some of the faces of people that felt ripped off because they didn't get some real piece of Chinese Wisdom out of the FREE flavored fortune cookies that we were giving away. A couple of people even went so far as to say, "What a stupid fortune". It got to the point where I was starting to get a little pissed off, and thought to myself, "I wish I would have given them one that says, 'Your business will soon fail'", or something along those lines. Everyone I talked to afterwards said that would have been funny. Hence, my idea was born. This is actually just one of several online business attempts we've made. We tried: color changing T-shirts, 900 numbers (non-sex), MLM health products, personalized trading cards, comic books, sports cards, mail order reports and gifts, golf ball imprinting, magazine sales, distressed/closeout merchandise and probably a couple of others that I can't remember right now. That's pretty much it for the business side of things. If you are writing for a major magazine or something and need more personal information for a major story that you are writing featuring this website (on the cover?), here is something to start with: I was born and raised in Southwest Florida. I graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1985. I joined the Navy almost right out of high school. In the Navy I was a chemist on Nuclear Submarines, and also in charge of monitoring maintenance on radioactive piping systems and shipping Radioactive materials across the country. I was in the Navy for almost 10 years (half way to retirement) when an accident during a military sponsored sporting event tore up the inside of my left knee. Surgery was unable to repair it, and I could no longer meet the physical standards of the military, I couldn't (and still can't) run. I was discharged and I am now a Disabled Veteran.
